    Assist in the preparation of financial statements, investor reports, and other fund-related financial information in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

    Support the Fund Controller in overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of investment funds, including general ledger maintenance, expense accruals and income distributions.

    Conduct regular reconciliations of fund cash, positions, and valuation data to ensure accuracy and completeness.

    Collaborate with external service providers, including administrators, auditors, and custodians, to facilitate accurate and timely reporting and address any operational issues.

    Assist in the coordination of fund audits, including the preparation of audit schedules, responding to inquiries, and addressing audit findings.

    Participate in the implementation and enhancement of internal controls and operational processes to ensure efficient and effective fund accounting operations.

    Monitor and analyze investment performance and fund expenses, providing insights and recommendations to management as needed.

    Assist in the preparation of investor communications, including quarterly reports, capital call notices, and distribution statements.

    Support the onboarding of new funds, ensuring proper setup of accounting systems, policies, and procedures.

    Stay updated on industry best practices, accounting standards, and regulatory changes relevant to investment funds and make recommendations for process improvements.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including portfolio management, legal, and compliance, to address fund-related issues and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

    Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA or CFA designation is preferred.

    Minimum [6] years of experience in fund accounting or related roles within the asset management industry.

    Strong understanding of investment fund structures, accounting principles, and financial reporting requirements.

    Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle complex financial information accurately.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

    Solid understanding of internal controls, risk management practices, and compliance requirements.

    Ability to work in a dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.

    Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.

    Team player with a willingness to learn and contribute to the success of the team and organization.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Completion of financial analysis and reporting, including the company’s monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for management.

    Completion of external reporting requirements, such as the Corporation’s Annual Reporting, Forms 10-K and 10-Q, etc. Supports SOX compliance and internal control.

    Oversee accounting procedures and controls related to bank reconciliations and treasury functions.

    Help with the research, communication and execution of ad hoc requests, special projects.

    EDUCATION

    Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from a regionally accredited college/university.

    Preferred: Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration from a regionally accredited college/university

    EXPERIENCE

    Required: Minimum of 6 years of Accounting / financial work experience

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    · Collaborate with the Board of Trustees, leadership to maintain and implement  objectives and goals.

    · Work with volunteers, vendors, donors, and colleagues.

    · Maintain annual calendar of events and meeting schedules.

    · Prepare the agenda and minutes for Board meetings.

    · Manage the marketing.

    · Perform the daily administrative activities along with the controller in the absence of an assistant.

    · Ensure that operations comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

    · Develop diverse resources and funding streams necessary to financially support  operations and projects. identify potential donors of prizes, sources of printing, signage, etc..

    · Communicate daily with all donors and acknowledge donations for monetary gifts and prizes.

    · Handle negotiations with outside vendors and authorize all expenditures.

    · Review the annual insurance policies along with the Controller.

    · Manage contact management system

    REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

    · Proven work experience as an Executive Director or similar role

    · Experience running fundraising initiatives.

    · Knowledge of volunteer recruitment and how to get individuals involved for the organization’s success.

    · Strong knowledge of financials

    · Excellent organization and critical decision-making

    · Ability to communicate effectively with Board members, donors, vendors, volunteers, and staff.

    · Proficient in managing multiple grants, projects and/or contracts.
